NEW Pictures! and developed with Instant coffee and baking soda. Technical Stuff: I have been Experimenting with a new process in the darkroom. It involves using Sodium Carbonate with Instant Coffee as a developer. I heard about this on the Make Blog site. all i could find at the store was sodium bicarbonate(baking soda) and i was impatient so i tried using that but it took forever to get any result and it looked really brown. i heated some of the baking soda to come up with some Sodium Carbonate, which worked really well as a developer but too well and it worked just as well as real developer except less grain. SO I mixed half and half of the solutions and came out with some nice looking stuff.
